EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE VARIANCE BO OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Variance Board of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 1St day of September,. at 5:00 p.m. The following members were present: Chair Bakeman and Members Doherty and Boerigter. Variance Board Member Doherty introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: VB RESOLUTION N0.4 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A 1-1/2 FOOT VARIANCE TO SECTION 1012.02B3 (REQUIRED YARD & OPEN SPACE -SIDE OR REAR YARD ONLY) OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR MICHAEL THIENES, 284 MCCARRONS BOULEVARD SOUTH (PF3593) WHEREAS, Michael Thienes, has requested a VARIANCE to Section 1012.02B3 (Required Yard & Open Space -Side and Rear Yard Only) of the Roseville City Code to allow the installation of a 8 foot privacy fence in the rear yard; and WHEREAS, the Thienes property is located at 284 McCarrons Boulevard South, and legally described as: Lot 38, Block 1, Rolling Green, excluding the westerly 25 feet and easterly 30 feet. PIN 12-29-23-42-0035 WHEREAS, 1012.02B3 requires fences in rear and side yards to be a maximum of 6-1/2 feet in height; and WHEREAS, Mr. Thienes desires to install a fence in a portion of his rear and side yard 8 feet in height; and WHEREAS, the City Planner has concluded that "hardships" are present and support can be given to deviate from the strict requirements of the Roseville City Code; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville Variance Board, to approve a 1 foot 6 inch VARIANCE to Section 1012.02B3 of the Roseville City Code for Michael Thienes to allow the installation of an 8 foot tall fence in a portion of the rear and side yard or 284 McCarrons Boulevard South, subject to the following condition: 1. The fence not exceeding a height. of 8 feet when measured from the existing grade to the top of fence.
