EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />VARIANCE BOARD OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Variance Board of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 7th day of December, 2005 at 5:30 <br />p.m. <br />The following members were present: Chair Bakeman and Members Boerigter, Pust and <br />Doherty. <br />Variance Board MemberBoerigter introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />VB RESOLUTION N0.30 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A 3'4" to 3'6"VARIANCE TO SECTION 1004.016 OF <br />THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR ROBERT MONROE, <br />1857 WESTERN AVENUE (PF3695). <br />WHEREAS, Robert Monroe has requested a one foot VARIANCE to Section 1004.016 <br />of the Roseville City Code to allow the installation of a 1'6" to 1'-8" extension on to the existing <br />driveway; <br />WHEREAS, the Monroe property is located at 1857 Western Avenue, and legally <br />described as: <br />Lot 26, Block 2 Rolling Green Addition <br />and the Southeasterly 1/2 of the adjacent vacated alley. <br />PIN: 13-29-23-31-0051 <br />WHEREAS, City Code Section 1004.016 requires driveways to be set back 5 feet from a <br />side property line; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposal by Mr. Monroe requests a width extension of the driveway to <br />within 1'6" to 1'-8" of the property line; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Planner has concluded that "hardships" are present and support can <br />be given to deviate from the strict requirements of the Roseville City Code; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville Variance Board, to approve a <br />3'4" to 3'6" VARIANCE to Section 1004.016 of the Roseville City Code for Robert Monroe, <br />1857 Western Avenue to allow a 1'6" to 1'-8" setback of the existing driveway from the lot line,. <br />subject to the following conditions: <br />The variance shall expire within eight months after the approval date (December 7, <br />2005) unless that applicant has been granted a building permit. <br />
