EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />VARIANCE BOARD OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Variance Board of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 7th day of September, 2005 at 5:00 <br />p.m. <br />The following members were present: Chair Bakeman and Members Pust and Boerigter. <br />Variance Board Member Boerigter introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />VB RESOLUTION N0.27 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A ONE FOOT VARIANCE TO SECTION 1012.02B2 OF <br />THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR BENJAMIN LEVITZ, <br />1465 ROSELAWN AVENUE (PF3668). <br />WHEREAS, Benjamin Levitz has requested a one foot VARIANCE to Section <br />1012.02B2 of the Roseville City Code to allow the installation of a one foot lattice top on an <br />existing four foot tall fence in his front yard; <br />WHEREAS, the Levitz property is located at 1465 Roselawn Avenue, and legally <br />described as: <br />LOT 7, BLOCK 1, KAY-KEEN HOMESITES <br />PIN: 15-29-23-23-0071 <br />WHEREAS, City Code Section 1012.02B2 requires fences in front yards to be a <br />maximum of four feet in height; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposal by Mr. Levitz would add a one foot lattice top to the fence in <br />the front yard for additional yard privacy; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Planner has concluded that "hardships" are present and <br />support can be given to deviate from the strict requirements of the Roseville City Code; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville Variance Board, to approve <br />a 1 foot VARIANCE to Section 1012.02B2 of the Roseville City Code for Benjamin Levitz, <br />1465 Roselawn Avenue to allow a one foot extension of the existing four foot tall front yard <br />fence, subject to the following conditions: <br />1. The fence must not exceed a height of 5 feet measured from the existing grade to <br />top of fence\lattice. <br />2. The fence extension must be constructed of wood be a lattice design. <br />
