EXT CT F 'T'ES FE'T'ING F ~' E <br />VAR IrTCE A F T CTS' F RSE I.I.E <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Variance Board of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 1St day of November, 2006, at 5:30 <br />p.m. <br />The following members were present: Chair Bakeman and Members Boerigter and <br />Doherty. <br />Variance Board Member Doherty introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />ESI~IJ'T'IliT N.4~ <br />A RESOLi1TION APPROVING A V ANCE TO §1004 OF TIIE ROSEVILLE CITE' <br />CODE FOR TIIE TRANS, 296 SOIJTII oC ONS EOiJLEV (PF3794) <br />WHEREAS, the Trans have requested a VARIANCE to § 1004 (Residential Districts) to <br />allow a principal structure encroachment into the required front yard setback; and <br />WHEREAS, this property is addressed as 296 South McCarrons Boulevard, and legally <br />described as: <br />ROLLING GREEN LOT 34, ~LOCI~ 1 <br />PIN: 13-29-23-42-0032 <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.01 E requires a 40-foot setback for principal structures from <br />the properly line; and <br />WHEREAS, the Trans seek to reduce the steep slope of the driveway by constructing, at a <br />lower grade, a new attached garage with living area above; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Division has concluded that "hardships" are present and <br />support can be given to deviate from the strict requirements of the Roseville City Code if the <br />conditions identified below are met; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville Variance Board, to approve a <br />26-foot VARIANCE to Section 1004.01E (Pre-Existing Setbacks) to allow the principal structure <br />to encroach into the required front yard setback with the following conditions: <br />1. The proposed addition must not encroach within 14 feet of the front property line. <br />2. The variance shall expire within 6 months of the approval date if a building <br />permit is not. issued for the respective site pursuant to § 1013.03 of the City Code. <br />
