<br />i' <br /> <br />Resolution No. 55 <br />Adopted October 27, 1953 <br />WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the Village Council requesting a <br />special election upon the question of whether the Village shall adopt a <br />primary election system for the nomination of candidates for Village offices, and <br />WHEREAS, said petition was not signed by the required numbers of voters <br />and was therefor insufficient, and <br />vrnEREAS, a substantial number of voters desire the submission of said <br />question at a special election, now therefore, <br />It is hereby resolved, that special election be called for December 8, <br />1953, to be held at the same time and place as the general village election, <br />and that there be submitted at said special election the following question: <br />"Shall the Village of Rosevil1e adopt the primary election system for the <br />nomination of candidates for Village Offices", and. <br />Resolved further that said special election be held at the Village Hall, <br />Lexington Avenue and County Road "C" and that the pe11s be open during the <br />hours of 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M., and <br />RESOLVED FURTHER that the clerk give not less than 10 days posted notice <br />thereof and one week's published notice thereof in the Rose Tribune, and that <br />the foregoing question be submitted be clearlY set forth therein, and <br />RESOLVED FURTHER, that the clerk is hereby authorized to purchase all <br />supplies and ballots necessary therefor. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Clerk <br />
