<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly <br />held on the 14th day of February, 1994, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mastel, P. Johnson, and wiski, <br />and the following were absent: Goedeke and V. Johnson. <br /> <br />Member wiski introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9052 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF APPLICATION FOR <br />A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) BY <br />NORTHWEST YOUTH & FAMILY SERVICES (NYFS) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Northwest Youth & Family Services (NYFS) has provided <br />essential development services for the youth and families of Roseville <br />since 1976; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, NYFS is finding more and more people in need of financial <br />assistance in order to make use of NYFS' mental health programs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the unique partnership between NYFS and its ten Ramsey County <br />member cities has resulted in the ability to provide an essential <br />community service that none of the cities could provide individually; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, NYFS is in need of assistance in purchasing a building in <br />which to house these essential community services; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the city Council of the city of <br />Roseville enthusiastically supports the award of a 1994 Community <br />Development Block Grant to Northwest Youth & Family Services. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Member Mastel, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: Mastel, P. Johnson, and wiski, and <br />the following voted against the same: None. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
