Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: October 26, 2010 Item No: 6 <br />Item Description: Conservation Water Rate Impact <br />Background: The City Council and Commission discussed reviewing the impact of the <br />conservation water rate structure put in place in 2009 as required by state statute. Chris Miller, <br />Finance Director has done some analysis to try to determine if there has been any impact to date <br />from the new rate structure. It appears it is difficult to determine in just over 1.5 years of data <br />whether the rate structure is effective. Overall trend of water use is declining and weather can <br />vary the level of lawn watering greatly from year to year.
