Orosz Application for the City Council Vacancy - City of Ro��i�l�l ■ .� . _i . . .� �-:�- ► � •.i As a resident of Roseville for the past 28 years �+1- several while attending college or working in a out state job), I have witnessed tremendous growth not only in housing, but employment and industry. In addition, I have also seen this City evolve from a traditional 1 st ring "white" suburb to a multicultural, multilingual 1 st ring suburb. The city offers much- nationally recognized parks, excellent schools and a variety of Religious options. It is my desire to participate in the future progression of the City at a level I am unable to at this time. I am well versed in many areas - healthcare and accessibility to it, aging and the aging population, housing and availability, ethics and human rights. I feel I would bring a new perspective to the council and the challenges facing the City of Roseville as we head into the new millennium. • 1 ,• 1 • • 1 11 � 1 The Roseville City Council has the responsibility to LISTEN to the residents of Roseville, ACKNOWLEDGE the needs of the residents and ADVISE the Mayor of the constituents wishes and expectations. The City Council Member must be AVAILABLE, ACCESSIBLE and WILLING to listen to all views expressed and ATTEMPT to enable those not so verbal to feel comfortable expressing an opinion. The City Council should function as a non-partisan panel in all matters pertaining to the City, and conduct themselves with HONEST, INTEGRITY and TRUTHFULNESS. • �- .iii�.-�i►- In my life, I have volunteered or worked with multicultural, mentally incompetent, developmentally disabled, young and aged people. I have been an instructor in the Masters program at the College of St. Catherine with a specialty in Ethics. In all of the opportunities I have had, I have been repeatedly commended for my ability to advocate not only for clients, but for families, friends and others. The citizens of Roseville DESERVE an individual who can advocate for them.
