<br />CO-OPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Administration of the State <br />of Minnesota, procures for State agencies through competitive bidding <br />various supplies, commodities and equipment, which are then ordered <br />by or for th~ agencies by appropriate methods, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the State Legislature by Minnesota Statutes 1967, <br />Sec. 471.59 has authorized the State and its political subdivisions <br />to enter into agreements to exercise jointly the governmental powers <br />and functions each has individually, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the State and the Village of Rosevi11e wish to <br />combine their purchasing functions as is specifically provided be- <br />low so that the Village of Rosevi11e may avail itself of the prices <br />which have been agreed upon by the State and its vendor. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, it is the purpose of this agreement to make <br />available to the Village of Roseville the commodities listed below, <br />at prices and terms as are available to the State under contracts <br />entered into under competitive bidding pursuant to M. S. (1967), <br />Chapter 16, by the Commissioner of Administration: <br /> <br />"Various Commodities as Available" <br /> <br />IT IS AGREED that the Village of Rosevi11e shall purchase <br />all of its requirements for the above commodities as they arise by <br />placing purchase orders against such State contracts for the commo- <br />dities stated, in accordance with all conditions, terms, specifica- <br />tions, and prices stated in such contracts. Orders shall be issued <br />by Village of Rosevil1e in accordance with its regularly authorized <br />purchasing procedure. The State contract number shall be shown on <br />the purchase order. <br /> <br />The Village of Roseville shall make paYment directly to <br />the Vendor in accordance with its established procedures. Neither <br />the State nor its purchasing agent, personally or officially, shall <br />assume any responsibility for the accountability of funds expended <br />hereunder by the Village of Rosevil1e, or the issuance or non-issu- <br />ance of any purchase order by the Village of Roseville. Each party <br />shall separately be accountable for its own expenditures of public <br />funds made hereunder. Both parties hereto agree to save and hold <br />each other harmless from any loss or damage for any reason arising <br />
