The Fair has become increasingly <br />popular with both e�ibitors and the general public. This popularity is due in large part <br />to the many hours volunteers have dedicated toward the effort to professionalize the Fair <br />by making it informative and fun for the attendees as well as profitable for the e�ibitors. <br />1.2 This year the Home and Garden Committee started planning the Fair in April 2000. The <br />result of the ongoing efforts for the 2001 Home and Garden Fair produced 48 e�ibit <br />booths, with an attendance by the public of over 1,200, the most of any year. <br />1.3 The Committee consists of the following: <br />Mary Bender, Business Community volunteer <br />Lynnae LeBazron, Roseville Senior Program <br />Polly Heaton, Fair-view Community Center <br />Shirley Fryberg, Roseville Resident <br />Kathy Deland, Lillie Suburban Newspapers <br />Lonnie Brokke, Roseville Parks & Recreation <br />Cathy Bennett and Pat Morrison, Corn. Dev. Dept., Roseville <br />2.0 STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />2.1 The staff recommends that the Council acknowledge the efforts of all the volunteers that <br />participated in the 2001 Home and Garden Fair by approving a resolution thanking the <br />volunteers for the many hours dedicated to the success of the Fair. <br />3.0 SUGGESTED CITY COUNCII, ACTION <br />3.1 By resolution e�tend the City's appreciation and gratitude to all the volunteers who <br />participated in the 200 1 Roseville Home and Garden Fair. <br />Q:�Housing�Homa ana GardenlliCA VolurrteersAppteciation 2001.doc <br />
