AGENDA FOR PUBLIC Ii�'IPROVEi�'IENT HEARING <br />2001 PMP <br />A. Ma°� calls the meeting to order and announces the purpose of the meeting and format for <br />the hearing. <br />"This is a public improvement hearing to consider whether public improvements should be <br />constructed. The decision will be whether the City Council wishes to proceed with the <br />public improvement project. The decision will not be made at this time as to what the <br />assessment rates will be or how the project costs will be allocated. That will be done at a <br />separate assessment hearing when the project is completed." <br />"These projects were initiated as a result of staff recommendation. For staff initiated <br />projects or projects not petitioned by more than 35% of affected property owners, for the <br />proj ect to be ordered a 4/5 vote of the City Council will be necessary. The Council will <br />consider a resolution ordering the improvement or continuing the hearing to a specific <br />future date." <br />'TI� FOLLOWING AGENDA WII,L BE USED AS 'TI� FORMAT FOR 'TI� PUBLIC <br />HEARING: <br />B. City Mana� comments including project number, brief description of project, published <br />and mailed notices, and written objections to the project: <br />P-ST-Ol-02 Neighborhood 10 Asbury Street, Snelling Avenue to City Limits <br />Ridgewood Road, Asbuty Street to City Limits <br />P-ST-SW-01-09 Neighborhood 18 West Owasso Boulevard, Victoria Street to City Limits <br />P-ST-SW-01-10 Neighborhood 15 Josephine Road, Hamline Avenue to Lexington Avenue <br />It is suggested for each public improvement, the City Manager read the project number and <br />provide a brief description of the project. Also, a general comment should be made <br />regarding the published and mailed notices. This should include the following language: <br />"Published and legal mailed notices have been provided for this project. Legal notices <br />appeared in the city's legal newspaper, Roseville Review, on January 30 and February 6, <br />200 L Mailed notices were sent on February 1,200 L Affida�its of mailing are a�ailable in <br />the office of the Public Works Director." <br />Priar to the hearing proceeding, the City Manager should read all written objections for the <br />proj ect. <br />C. En�ineer provides specific information for project including e�sting conditions, proposed <br />construction, special conditions, schedule, cost estimate, and financing. <br />
