REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Department ApprovaL Manager Reviewed <br />�l� �� <br />Description: Planning Commission Chair Appointment <br />Background <br />Date: 04/09/Ol <br />Item No.:E_ Z <br />Agenda Section <br />Organizational <br />It is required under the City's Planning Commission Ordinance that the City Council, appoint the <br />Chair for the current year (2001). If the Council could take such action on this date, it would allow <br />the Planning Commission to conduct their annual organizational meeting in the appropriate manner on <br />April 11, 2001. <br />Policy Implications <br />The Chair appointment is not only within Council Policy, as noted above, the Council is obligated by <br />ordinance and such an action is well within Council operating procedure. <br />Financial Implications <br />There are no significant financial or budgetary implications regarding these appointments. <br />Council Action <br />Motion to approve the appointment of John Rhody as Planning Commission Chair for the period <br />ending March 3 1, 2002. <br />
