The bids were opened on November 1, 2000 and reviewed by staf£ The two <br />bids received did not meet the goals and specifications established by staff. The bid specifications were <br />adjusted and the fire department advertised for bids again. The second bid opening was conducted on March <br />22, 2001. Again, the one bid received did not meet the goals and specifications established by staf£ It has been <br />decided that the department will not replace E-12 at this time. <br />POLICY IMPLICATIONS: The bid specifications authorized the City to accept or reject any and all bids. <br />FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: There is no financial implication from this action. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommendation is for Council to reject the one bid received on <br />March 22, 2001 for the replacement Engine 12. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: Motion to reject the bid received on March 22, 2001 for the <br />replacement of Engine 12. <br />
