2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />� <br />8 <br />9 <br />lo <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />Excerpt of Draft 1�Iinutes, Planning Commission meeting June 13, 2001 <br />6(h) Plannin� File 3319: City of Roseville request for a front yard setback <br />variance to a11ow construction of emergency stairwell on to Fire Station <br />#3, 2335 Dale Street. <br />Chair Rhody opened the hearing and requested Dennis Welsch to provide a verbal <br />summary of the project report dated June 13,200 1 <br />Fire Chief Rich Gasaway and Ken Olson summarized the request for a variance, <br />for Fire Station #3, 2335 Dale, to allow the construction of a safety e�t stairway <br />from the second level to the e�terior ground floor resulting in an addition, which <br />would be within 22 feet to the north property line, adjacent to Lovell Avenue. <br />Member Cunningham asked for details of the stairwell and landings of the <br />enclosed stairwell. <br />Chief Gasaway explained that the staff currently sleeps in the training space; the <br />dormitory space is not legally usable without a second stairwell. <br />There being no public comment, Chair Rhody closed the hearing. <br />2 3 Motion: Motion by Duncan, second by Wilke, to recommend approval of a <br />24 resolution granting the City of Roseville Fire Department, 2335 Dale Street, an 8 <br />25 foot corner side yard setback variance from Section 1004.02D5 (Dwelling <br />26 Dimensions and Appearances and Height, Frontage, Yard and Lot Area <br />2� Requirements in R-1 Districts) of the Roseville City Code to allow construction of <br />28 a new 8 feet by 19 foot life safety e�t stairwell, subject to the findings in Section <br />29 5 and conditions A— D in Section 6 of the project report dated June 13, 2001. <br />30 <br />31 Ayes: Duncan, Wilke, Rhody, Olson, Cunningham, Traynor, Mulder <br />32 Nays: None <br />33 Motion carried 7-0. <br />34 <br />
