EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 26th day of June 2001, at 6:30 p.m. The following members were present: and the following were absent: Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION APPROVING A 14 FOOT VARIANCE TO SECTIONS 1004.O1E OF THE ROSEVII,LE CITY CODE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1803 VICTORIA STREET (PF 3311). WHEREAS, John and Laurie Conway have requested a variance to Section 1004.O1E of the Roseville City Code to allow a 14 foot encroachment into the required 30 foot front yard setback; and WHEREAS, the Conway's are the owners of property located at 1803 Victoria Street, legally described as: Lot 6, Arthur E. Thom Plat, Ramsey County, Minnesota (PID # 142923310014) WHEREAS, the Conway's intend to construct a two sta11 garage onto the e�sting garage (which will be converted into living space) that encroached 14 feet into the required front yard setback or 24 feet from the front property line; and WHEREAS, the DRC determined that the Conway's predominant front yard setback is 38 feet given the increased principal setbacks along this section of Victoria Street; and WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the Conway's request on June 13, 2001, at which hearing no citizens addressed the Commission regarding the request; and WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission recommended (7-0) approval of the request for a 14 variance from Section 1404.O1E of the Roseville City Code to allow construction of a garage addition into the predominant front yard setback basec on the findings of Section 3 and conditions in section 4 of the project report dated June 13, 2001; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to approve request by John and Laurie Conway for a 14 foot variance from Section 1004.O1E of the Roseville City Code based on the finding indicted in Section 3 and conditions in section 4 of the project report dated June 26, 2001. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: and the following voted against the same: WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
