�� Request for Council Action Date: 07-3-0 1 Item Number:c-� Department pproval Manager Approval Agenda Section � `� Consent Item Description: Annual renewal of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Customized Training Income Contract with Anoka-Hennepin Technical College. Back�round: The Roseville Fire Department does not own or operate a fire training center. State certification classes for fire department members, such as Firefighter 1 and Firefighter 2, are provided by Anoka-Hennepin Technical College, by virtue of its delegated authority from the Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities. The Roseville Fire Department contracts customized training services from Anoka-Hennepin Technical college for a variety of firefighting, hazardous materials, and rescue training programs. A listing of course offerings is attached hereto. The Roseville Fire Department has been contracting these services with Anoka-Hennepin Technical College for several years and we are pleased with the services being provided. This request is for the annual renewal of the contract, pursuant to a requlrement from the State of Minnesota. Polic�► Implications: The City of Roseville would renew its customized training services contract with Anoka-Hennepin Technical College for fire and rescue related courses. Financial: The cost of each course varies with the length and complexity of the program. This contract is for all teaching services with a cumulative total not to exceed $3,000. Funding would come from the fire department training budget. Staff Recommendation: Staff recommendation is for council to approve the renewal of this training contract with Anoka-Hennepin Technical College. Council Action Requested: Motion to approve the renewal of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Customized Training Income Contract with Anoka-Hennepin Technical College.
