����� <br />Request for Council Action <br />Date: 07-3-0 1 <br />Item Number:c-� <br />Department pproval Manager Approval Agenda Section <br />� <br />`� Consent <br />Item Description: Annual renewal of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Customized Training <br />Income Contract with Anoka-Hennepin Technical College. <br />Back�round: The Roseville Fire Department does not own or operate a fire training center. <br />State certification classes for fire department members, such as Firefighter 1 and Firefighter 2, are <br />provided by Anoka-Hennepin Technical College, by virtue of its delegated authority from the Board of <br />Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities. <br />The Roseville Fire Department contracts customized training services from Anoka-Hennepin Technical <br />college for a variety of firefighting, hazardous materials, and rescue training programs. A listing of <br />course offerings is attached hereto. The Roseville Fire Department has been contracting these services <br />with Anoka-Hennepin Technical College for several years and we are pleased with the services being <br />provided. This request is for the annual renewal of the contract, pursuant to a requlrement from the <br />State of Minnesota. <br />Polic�► Implications: The City of Roseville would renew its customized training services contract with <br />Anoka-Hennepin Technical College for fire and rescue related courses. <br />Financial: The cost of each course varies with the length and complexity of the program. This contract <br />is for all teaching services with a cumulative total not to exceed $3,000. Funding would come from the <br />fire department training budget. <br />Staff Recommendation: Staff recommendation is for council to approve the renewal of this training <br />contract with Anoka-Hennepin Technical College. <br />Council Action Requested: Motion to approve the renewal of the Minnesota State Colleges and <br />Universities Customized Training Income Contract with Anoka-Hennepin Technical College. <br />
