Department Approval: <br />� <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />1�Ianager Reviewed: <br />DATE: 07/09/0 1 <br />ITEM NO. : c - 3 <br />Agenda Section: <br />Consent <br />Item Description: Approval of earnest money contracts for easements needed for the Reconstruction <br />of County Road B, between State Farm Road and Sandhurst Drive, SAP 62-625- <br />22, MSAS 160-251-01 <br />Background: Ramsey County is reconstructing a portion of County Road B this summer. The project <br />includes construction of geometrics, mill and overlay, concrete repair and traffic control improvements. <br />There are two properties that the County requires additional right-of-way from for the addition of a right <br />turn lane at the Hamline Avenue intersection. On both properties we need to acquire a ten-foot wide strip <br />of permanent right-of-way as well as a 5-foot wide temporary easement for oonstruction. There is also <br />the acquisition of a triangle of easement for the signal on the Southwest comer. See attached map for <br />locations. <br />Policy objectives: For reconstruction projects within the City of Roseville, Ramsey County requires the <br />City to acquire all easements. These easements are between the property owner and the City of Roseville. <br />Financial implications: These are the only easements needed for this project. The total cost of this right- <br />of-way is $12,000.00 and will be financed through State-Aid funds. <br />Staff recommendation: Council approval of the following earnest money contracts and easements: <br />asement roperty Owner Address Temp.
