�y,�� <br />Request for Council Action <br />Date: July 23, 2001 <br />Item Number: � _ 2 <br />Department Approval Manager Approval Agenda Section <br />► %i <br />Item Description: <br />Appointment of Members for the Residential Waste and Recycling Citizen Advisory Committee <br />Back�round: <br />On 7une 11, 2001, the City Council directed staff to advertise to secure applicants to serve on a Residential <br />Waste and Recycling Committee. The deadline to submit applications closed at the end of business on 7uly 11, <br />2001. The City received six applications from the following residents: <br />Todd Anderson <br />Dean Berckes <br />Constance M Briol <br />Rebecca Caulfield <br />Paul Severson <br />Robert Willmus <br />The City Council initially reviewed these applications at its work session on 7uly 16, 2001. The Council <br />indicated that the six applicants appeared fine, and a seventh applicant, 7udy Wood, who filed after the closing <br />date, should be added as well. <br />The Committee will update the April 1991 Residential Waste and Recycling Report and "evaluate the e�sting <br />residential waste collection services and explore opportunities for improvement."
