Draft Extract of Minutes of Planning Commission Meetin� of 07.11.01: <br />6(g) Planning File 3321: Gregg & Amy Peterson request for a Variance from Section <br />1012.02B2 of the Roseville City Code to increase the front yard fence height at 222 <br />North McCarrons Boulevard <br />Chair Rhody opened the hearing and requested Thomas Paschke to provide a verbal <br />summary of the project report dated July 11,200 1. <br />Thomas Paschke explained that Gregg and Amy Peterson have requested a variance to <br />increase the height of a fence in their front yard from four feet to six feet. The code <br />allows only a four-foot front yard fence. The National Guard Armory is across the street <br />McCarrons is a busier street. The fence will replace an existing fence. <br />Staff recommended approval with conditions. <br />Gregg and Amy Peterson asked for details of recommended conditions: the landscaping <br />required; backing out of garages while protecting a view triangle; fence to be stained <br />earth tone (or red cedar fence). The survey of the lot line will be verif'ied on the site with <br />staff. <br />Member Mulder asked if Tract C is part of the parcel? (No). The existing fence will <br />remain on the Tract C site. A post will be necessary on the property line (The adjoining <br />property owner has no objection with this plan). <br />There was no public comment. Chair Rhody closed the hearing. <br />Motion: Member Duncan moved, seconded by Member Wilke, to recommend approval <br />of the request by Gregg and Amy Peterson for a 2-foot fence height variance from <br />Section 1012.02A2 of the Roseville City Code for property located at 222 North <br />McCarrons Boulevard, based on the fmdings located in Section 3 and subject to the <br />conditions indicated in Section 4 of the project report dated 7/1 1101, as discussed. <br />Ayes: 7 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br />
