He explained <br />the up-hill grade (slope) dlffiCUltles on this site, with an angle of drive that allows for <br />better access to the site. Staff recommended approval. <br />Mr. Paul Grotenhuis answered questions and explained a modification that would allow a <br />13 to 14 foot variance. Member Mulder stated the proposed variance could be up to 17 <br />feet. Deb Bloom said the staff could help adjust this driveway in the field. <br />Member Olson asked if there was a problem accessing the hill and driveway in winter <br />(no). The adjacent neighbor accepts the alignment of the driveway. <br />There were no comments. Chair Rhody closed the hearing. <br />Motion: Member Mulder moved, seconded by Member Wilke, to recommend approval <br />of the request by Paul Grotenhuis for a variance to Section 703.04B 1 a of the City Code, <br />said variance not to exceed 17 feet to allow an increase in the required driveway apron <br />within a public right-of-way from 26 feet to 43 feet for property located at 3 175 West <br />Owasso Boulevard, based on the findings in Section 3 of the project report dated July <br />11,2001. <br />Ayes: 7 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried 7-O. <br />
