She opposed the proposal. <br />Member Cunningham asked for details of the height of the building (it can be no more <br />than 15 feet at the roof mid-point). The peak is now 12 feet; the peak of the house is 15 <br />feet and the peak of the garage will be 15 feet. <br />Member Duncan stated vehicles and toys look better inside a garage. Member Wilke <br />concurred and supported. <br />Member Cunningham supported Member Olson's perspective. The precedent was a <br />concern. Member Cunningham was opposed to the variance. <br />Chair Rhody recommended viewing each variance on its merits and uniqueness. Member <br />Mulder spoke in fa�or. <br />1�Totion: Member Mulder moved, seconded by Member Rhody, to recommend <br />approval of a 176 square foot variance from Section 1004.O1A5 to allow construction of <br />a detached accessory building 1,008 square feet in size for property located at 1166 <br />Laurie Road, based on the comments and findings in Section 3, 4, and 5 of the project <br />report dated August 8, 2001. <br />Ay e s: 5, Wilke, Duncan, Mulder, Rhody, Traynor <br />Nays: 2, Cunningham, Olson <br />Motion carried 5-2. <br />
