EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due ca11 and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 27th day of August 2001, at 6:30 p.m. The following members were present: and the following were absent: Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION APPROVING A 23 FOOT VARIANCE TO SECTION 1004.02A4 OF THE ROSEVII,LE CITY CODE FOR ROSEVII,LE COVENANT CHURCH, LOCATED AT 1380 AND 1382 COUNTY ROAD C-2 (PF 3325) WHEREAS, Roseville Covenant Church has requested a 23 foot variance to Section 1004.02A4 (Setbacks) of the Roseville City Code to allow the use of a structure for church purposes closer than 30 feet to an adjacent residential lot; and WHEREAS, the property of interest by Roseville Covenant Church is located at 1380 and 1382 County Rose C-2 and legally described as: Lot 7, Block I, Michels Centennial Addition, Ramsey County, Minnesota (PID #03292310008). WI�REAS, Section 1004.02A4 states: Churches, convents, libraries, and City buildings, provided no s�^ucture shall be nearer than 30 feet to any adjacent lot in an R Dis�^ict. A church "office" is considered an extension of the church use andpermitted within an R-1 zone; and WHEREAS, the structure located at 1382 County Road C-2 is located seven feet from the west property line. Thus an encroachment of 23 feet in the required setback of Section 1004.02A4; and WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held a public hearing regarding the Roseville Covenant Church variance request and recommended (7-O) to approve the request, based on comments and findings outlined in Section 3 of the project report dated 8/27/O1. NOW TNRRF,FORE BE TT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to grant Roseville Covenant Church a 23 foot variance to Section 1004.02A4 of the Roseville City Code allowing a church to occupy a structure closer that 30 feet to a residential lot, based on the comments and findings in Section 3 of the project report dated 8/27/O1 for property located a 1380 and 1382 County Rose C-2.
