EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due ca11 and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Nlinnesota, was held on the 24th day of September 2001, at 6:30 p.m. <br />The following members were present: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE TO SECTION 1012.02B2 OF THE <br />ROSEVILLE CITY CODE, TO ALLOW A SIX FOOT FENCE IN FRONT YARD, ON <br />PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1296 WQODHILL DRNE (PF 3341). <br />WHEREAS, Clinton Freemen, 1296 WOOdhill Drive, has requested a variance to Section <br />1012.O1B2 of the Roseville City Code to a11ow the construction of a six foot fence in the front <br />yard adj acent to Huron Street; and <br />WHEREAS, the Clinton Freeman property is located at 1296 Woodhill Drive, legally <br />described as: <br />Ashbach park, Ramsey County, MN, Lot 1, Block 2. (PID # 0329234300.56). <br />WHEREAS, Section 1012.01 B2 (Front Lot Line) limits the height of a f('OI]t yard fence <br />to 48 inch (four foot) maximum fence height, thereby initiating the request for a two foot <br />variance; and <br />WHEREAS, the Community Development Department has determined that the Freemen <br />front yard faces west towards Huron Street as the Code specifies in the case of a comer lot, it <br />sha11 be the shortest dimension on a public street; and <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held a public hearing on September 12, <br />2001 regarding the variance request by Mr. Freeman and recommended (6-O) to approve the <br />request, based on findings outlined in Section 4 of the project report dated September 24,200 1. <br />NOW 'TI�REFORE BE TT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to grant Clinton <br />Freeman, 1296 �loodhill Drive a variance to Section 1Q 12.02B2, of the Roseville City Code, <br />being a two-foot front yard fence variance, based on the findings in Section 4of the project report <br />dated September 24,200 1. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in fa�or: <br />and the following voted against: <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />1 <br />
