(PF33361 1.0 BACKGROUND 1.1 Ann Hennessey, Dean of Family Academy, has received two interim use permits (without neighbarhood objection). The first interim use permit approved by the City Council (July 24, 2000) allowed a modular classroom in the southeast portion of the parking lot of the premises. The second interim use permit approved by the City Council (September 24, 2001) allowed a 12 foot by 56 foot modular office directly adjacent to the school wing of Advent Lutheran Church. 1.2 On October 1, 2001, Ms. Hennessey found that the 12' x 56' office was too small for Family Academy needs and that for little expense they could receive the modular classroom (appro�nately 1,000 S.f. larger), which was previously used at Northern Heights Lutheran Church on Rice Street. 1.3 Ms. Hennessey has requested a revision to the recently approved interim use permit that would allow a 24' by 70' (1,680 s.f.) modular office directly adjacent (north/south direction) to the school wing of the Church. The modular office would serve the same functions (13 o�Ces) as the interim use permit approved on September 24, 2001. The main difference is an increased size and orientation on the same site. 2.0 STAFF CO1�TI�TENT/RECOI�TI�TENDATION 2.1 Staff has reviewed the newly proposed site plan and concludes that there are no additional impacts brought upon by the increased modular office size to the adjacent properties. 2.2 Staff recommends approval of the amendment to the e�sting interim use resolution to all a change in size of the modular office indicated in the previously approved interim use permit for Family Academy, subject to issuance of all permits and the structure meeting all fire and building code life safety and building separation requirements. 3.0 SUGGESTED COUNCIL ACTION 3.1 By resolution, approve an amendment to the September 24, 2001, Family Academy Interim Use Permit resolution to allow a change in size (ma�mum of 1,680 s.f.) and direction ( north-south) of the modular office for the Family Academy site plan at 3000 Hamline Avenue. A condition of this amendment must be that the structure meets the building and fire code life safety and building separation requirements.
