; <br />403.01 <br />CHAPTER 403 <br />CURBSIDE RECYCLING <br />SECTION: <br />403.01: Purpose <br />403.02: Definitions <br />403.03: Scavenging for Recyclables; <br />License <br />403.04: License for Recycling Contractor <br />403.05: Requirements for License <br />403.06: Expiration of License <br />403.07: Revocation <br />403.08: Licensee's Equipment <br />403.09: Report to City <br />403.10: Recycling Service <br />403.11: Hours of Collection <br />403.12: Placement of Containers for <br />Collection <br />403.13: Recycling Fee <br />403.01: PURPOSE: It is the intent of the <br />City, by means of this Chapter, <br />to establish a system of curbside recycling <br />for residential dwellings in the City. (Ord. <br />1098, 8-12-91) <br />403.02: DEFINITIONS: As used in this <br />Chapter, the following words and <br />terms shall have the meanings ascribed to <br />them in this Section: � � <br />CURBSIDE: The area of public right of way <br />between the property line and the curb or <br />edge of the street, but not on the street. <br />CURBSIDE RECYCLING: The regularly <br />scheduled collection of targeted recyclables <br />by a recycling contractor selected by the <br />City. <br />1. See Chapter 301 of this Code <br />403.04 <br />PERSON: Individuals, partnerships, corpo- <br />rations and other legal entities. <br />RECYCLABLES: Materials which may be <br />recycled or reused through recycling pro- <br />cesses including targeted recyclables. <br />RECYCLING CONTRACTOR: A collector or <br />transporter of recyclables. <br />RESIDENTIAL DWELLING: Any building <br />containing one to four (4) dwelling units <br />(single-family, duplex, triplex and fourplex), <br />and any building with up to eight (8) dwell- <br />ing units contiguous to each other <br />(townhouses) sharing no more than two (2) <br />common walls, such building to be of the <br />row house type as contrasted to multiple <br />dwelling apartment structures. <br />TARGETED RECYCLABLES: Aluminum or <br />other metal food and beverage cans, food <br />and beverage glass containers, newsprint, <br />corrugated cardboard, magazines, desig- <br />nated plastic containers and other materials <br />designated by the City Manager. (Ord. <br />1098, 8-12-91) <br />403.03: SCAVENGING FOR RECY- <br />CLABLES; LICENSE: It is <br />unlawful for any person to scavenge or <br />otherwise collect recyclables at the curb or <br />from recyclable containers without a license <br />from the City. (Ord. 1098, 8-12-91) <br />403.04: LICENSE FOR RECYCLING <br />CONTRACTOR': No person <br />shall act as a recycling contractor in the <br />Citv OfRoseuille <br />
