REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 12/17/01 <br />Item No: c-4 <br />Department Approval: Manager Ap roved: Agenda Section: <br />�}� '��� ��fi� CONSENT <br />Item Description: City initiated request for a 60-day plan review extension regarding the <br />request by Stoney River Development for consideration of a six lot <br />preliminary plat for property located at 495 Iona Lane (PF3357). <br />1.0 REQUESTED ACTION <br />11 The Community Development Department is seeking an extension to the 60-day review <br />deadline for the Stoney River Development preliminary plat request. <br />2.1 This extension becomes necessary due to the tight timeline caused by the up coming <br />holidays and a possible desire by the applicant to change the proposal. <br />2.0 BACKGROUND <br />2.1 On November 13, the Planning Division accepted the application by Stoney River <br />Development setting in motion the 60-day review, which review will expire on January <br />12, 2002. <br />2.2 The City Planner has been working with Stoney River Development on a couple of <br />options for the property, both of which will be discussed at the December 12, Planning <br />Commission Meeting. <br />2.2 Faced with a difficult December 13, Report for Council Action deadline; the potential <br />that the project may contain changes or be withdrawn completely in favor of a different <br />proposal; and uncertainty regarding January 2002 Council meeting dates, The <br />Community Development Department seeks an extension of this from January 12, 2002 <br />to March 13, 2002. <br />3.0 STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />3.1 In order to provide the City Council with proper information necessary to fully consider <br />the Stoney River request, the Community Development Department requests approval of <br />a 60-day plan review e�tension pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 15.99. <br />PF3357 RCA (121701) -Page 1 of 2 <br />
