They sketched the currently approved plans for <br />transportation capital improvements in Roseville. <br />Bob Beneke, Consultant, North Metro I35W Corridor Coalition, a <br />multi jurisdictional effort, reviewed the connection between jobs <br />and transportation, especially within the I-35W corridor. He <br />compared and contrasted the theoretical carrying capacity of I- <br />35W, and the actual traffic counts there. He emphasized <br />functionality from a systems perspective. He reviewed several <br />redevelopment projects along the corridor. <br />Bloom discussed the Northeast Diagonal Land Use/Transit Study, a <br />multi jurisdictional effort, involving Hennepin and Ramsey <br />Counties, St. Paul, Minneapolis, Roseville, Vadnais Heights, <br />Shoreview, White Bear Township and White Bear Lake. She <br />described several economic development opportunity sites along <br />the corridor. <br />Arlene McCarthy, Director of Service Development, and Aaron <br />Isaacs, Facilities Development, Metro Transit, discussed experience <br />with the revised bus routes in Roseville, ridership, hours of <br />operation and fares. They also overviewed a transit proposal to <br />expand and enhance the transit hub at Rosedale. <br />Schwartz thanked a11 presenters and indicated staff would be back <br />with the City Council as projects came forward. <br />II. Regular 1�Ieeting <br />A. Communications and Public Comment <br />A-1 Dick Lambert made three requests relating to the ethics <br />investigation of his complaint: <br />1. Council should task the Ethics Commission with <br />recommending changes to the Ethics Resolution and <br />complaint process. <br />2. Should empower the Ethics Commission with subpoena <br />power. <br />3. Should revise the Roseville Ethics Resolution. <br />Mastel suggested that the Ethics Commission should review the <br />Ethics Resolution. Goedeke commented on the Ethics <br />Commission. Kysylyczyn responded that the City Council would <br />address this issue next year. <br />
