Some of the changes being proposed or <br />completed include: <br />. Changing all fire stations to a keyless entry systems. <br />. Installing lock boxes on all fire apparatus <br />. Installing engine-kill switches on all fire apparatus <br />. Restricting non-employee access to fire stations to times when <br />employees are present. <br />Some of the changes being proposed or <br />completed include: <br />. Installing cameras at Station 1 to monitor fire apparatus parked <br />outside during training <br />. Some changes are not appropriate to discuss in a public forum as <br />it could provide information to potential terrorists. <br />Policy development process <br />. The Task Force met to discuss security concerns and to make <br />recommendations. <br />, The recommendations were developed into a draft policy. <br />. The draft policy was reviewed and revised by the Chiefs Staff (Fire <br />Chief, 3 Deputy Fire Chiefs, 3 District Fire Chiefs). <br />. The policy was implemented October 13th <br />, The policy is a work-in-process and is still under development. <br />Standard 102.06 <br />Personnel, Apparatus, and Station Security <br />.
