RightFAX 1/28/02 9:54 PAGE 2/2 RightFAX <br />Serve on a National League of Cities Policy Committee <br />The League of Minnesota Cities is responsible for appointing city officials (elected or appointed) <br />to the National League of Cities (NLC} policy committees. NLC has seven policy committees <br />and we are allowed to appoint five members to each one. These committees ha�e appro�mately <br />200 members each and meet twice a year once at the Congressional City Conference (March 8- <br />12, 2002 in Washington, DC) and at the Congress of Cities (December). Members of the policy <br />committees are selected by their state leagues and appointed to one-year terms by the NLC <br />president. We are currently soliciting to fill openings on the following committees: <br />1. Human Development (HD) (4 openings) <br />2. Community and Economic Development (CID) (1 opening) <br />3. Information Technology and Communications (TTC) (3 openings) <br />4. Transportation Infrastructure and Services (TIS) (1 opening) <br />S.
