When fully redeveloped, there
could be a total of 382 housing units at this density level with the breakdown as follows.
The Arona-Hamline Neighborhood Master Plan would be implemented over the next 20
years. The plan should remain flexible as to the location and intensity of
development, The development phases will be market based and rezoned with particular
restriction as planned unit developments.
Phase I proposal is a 2-4 year plan, Phase II is a 5-10 year plan and Phase III is a 15-20
year plan. The phases may or may not redevelop in those specified time frames.
Depending upon the success of the uses developed in each phase the plan may be
modified to be more marketable and financially feasibly while taking into consideration
the surrounding neighborhoods needs, the environment and the community as a whole.
The City will work in partnership with developer, housing services and funding agencies
to provide the connection between senior leaving more affordable single-family and
townhomes in the existing neighborhood and new young families interested in moving to
the community. It will be a goal of the master plan to "Connect and Balance the
Neighorhood".
The following are different housing and mixed-use examples that can help to
conceptualize uses identified in the Arona-Hamline Neighborhood master plan.
Q:Planning Files3243_Atona Dev 2000\Maste Plan Process\Arona Master Plan ,Q Summary of Land Uses.doc
8 -Draft (7/12/Ol, amended 2/04/02)
