REQUE ST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 02J25J02 <br />Item Number: A—� <br />Department Approval: �Ianager Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />Consent <br />�� <br />ITE�I DESCRIPTION <br />�, <br />Great Lakes Shipwreck Preservation Society One Day Gambling License <br />BACKGROUND <br />Great Lakes Shipwreck Preservation Society has applied for an Exemption from Lawful <br />Gambling Licensing Requirements to conduct lawful gambling activities on March 2, 2002 at the <br />Roseville High School located at 1240 W. County Road B2. <br />The Minnesota Charitable Gambling Regulations allow any nonprofit organization, which <br />conducts lawful gambling for less than five (5) days per year, and total prizes do not exceed <br />$50,000.00 in value, to be exempt from the licensing requirements if the city approves. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion approving Great Lakes Shipwreck Preservation Society request to conduct a raffle on <br />March 2, 2002, at the Roseville High School located at 1240 W. County Road B2. <br />
