The RoSelawn pathway is a regional trail that received federal funding, and as such is
required to be 8' wide. ADA standards must be met on all pedestrian ramps.
. The landscape plan should show how the NURP basin will be restored (i.e. seed and
blanket, hydro seeding) to minimize erosion and improve the aesthetic appearance of
this feature.
. There is a sanitary sewer easement along the south and east boundary of the site. The
manholes should be adjusted to final grade; and after grading, sufFicient cover should
be maintained on the pipe in the ponding area (minimum of 4 feet). On the landscape
plan there appear to be a number of trees and shrubs proposed over the existing VCP
sanitary sewer pipe. Because of the pipe's age and type of material we are very
concerned that planting trees and shrubs on top of the pipe will create root problems,
and eventually plug the pipe. For this reason we do not usually allow plantings within
easements.
. The pond appears to meet Roseville's requirements for storm water retention. Capitol
Region Watershed District would like to set up a meeting to discuss this site in more
detail. Please contact me so we may set up a time.
I look forward to working with you on this redevelopment. Additional comments may arise
when revised plans are submitted. If you have any questions, please contact me.
....ingRoszla«m `lg-Cronin Memo 020702.doc
• Page 1
