Consent <br />Reports & Recommendations <br />Item Description: Request for Approval of the Restated Bylaws of the Roseville Fire Relief Association <br />Background <br />In January 2002, the membership of the Roseville Fire Relief Association approved an amendment to the <br />Organization's bylaws. The changes are being submitted for Council review and approval. <br />The amendment is contained in Section 45 - Election of Installment Payments. The original language is shown in <br />the attached document, along with the portion that has been stricken from the section. The language stricken from <br />Section 45 is addressed in subsequent sections. <br />The amended language reads as follows: <br />p`The election of installment payments sha11 be irrevocable and shall be made by the retiring member in <br />writing and filed with the Association's Secretary not later than thiriy (30) days prior to the commencement <br />of payment of the service pension'. <br />Attachments <br />❑ Original and amended language for Section 45 of the Bylaws. <br />o Complete copy of the current Bylaws reflecting the proposed amendment. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the City Council approve the amendment. <br />Council Action <br />Motion to approve the proposed amendment to the bylaws of the Roseville Fire Relief Association. <br />
