EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCII, <br />CITY OF ROSEVII,LE, RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br />County of Ramsey, Nlinnesota, was duly held in the City Hall at 2660 Civic Center Drive, <br />Roseville, Nlinnesota, on Monday, the lOth day of June, 2002, at 6:30 p.m. <br />The following members were present: <br />and the following members were absent: <br />Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION INVITING THE KNIGHT-RIDDER PLANNING PROGRAM <br />OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI TO UTII,IZE THE CITY OF ROSEVII,LE <br />AS A STUDY SITE FOR FALL 2002 PLANNING AND CHARETTE PROGRAM <br />WI�REAS, the City Council of the City of Roseville places a high priority on <br />establishing quality of life programs and policies, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville encourages long term visions, high quality design, and <br />community planning and <br />WI�REAS, the City of Roseville encourages participation by residents and business <br />owners in community planning and implementation programs, and <br />WI�REAS, the City of Roseville deems it to be in the public interest to encourage <br />community development and private investment which links jobs and housing improves <br />transportation and transit and recycles underused and brownfield lands, and <br />WI�REAS, the City of Roseville has been invited to submit a proposal to host the <br />Knight-Ridder Planning Program of the University of Miami to study an 1100 acre Suburban <br />Activity Center including the Rosedale Regional Mall and supporting centers and business parks, <br />transportation, and residential areas. <br />NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Roseville hereby formally invites <br />the Knight-Ridder Planning Program of the University of Miami to propose, sponsor, and <br />participate in a planning program utilizing the City of Roseville as a study site for fa112002 <br />planning and charette program. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in fa�or thereof <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />WI�REUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
