FAMILY
. .
: ..:
ACADEMY
April 8, 2002
To: The City of Roseville
From: Family Academy
' Family Acade.my is requesting an interim use permit to allow the
s placement of 2 portable classroom units which would give our
school 4 additional classrooms.
° Our enrollment has increased since we started in September of
2000. The need for families of children with both special education
students and regular education students to be in a small inclusive
__ school is defiantly a need in this community.

G51-697-17401
3000_F[dmline Ave. N.
Roseville, MN 55113
Fax: 651-697-17b6
We also would like to pilot a program with Northeast Metro 916 for
preschool children who are deaf or hard of hearing. This program
would primarily service children with cochlear implants. These
children would be mainstreamed into a typical preschool program in
the morning and receive therapy in the afternoon of each school
day. The influx of this program will result in an additional need for
classroom space.
As you can see by the diagram attached we would place the
portable units on the side of the school. Our plan is to move our
6tn _$tn grade students into the portable units and the younger
children would remain in the main building.
We are aware that we will need to start to search for a bigger
building or ask the church to add space on to the building within the
next finro years.
If you are in need of additional information please feel free to
contact me at (651) 697-1740.
S' erely,
Anne J. H nessey
President/ Dean of Students and Families
