E, <br />Agenda Section <br />�� �� <br />Item Description: Annua}�renewal of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Customized Training Income Contract with Anoka� <br />Hennepin Technical College. <br />Backpround: The Roseville Fire Department does not own or operate afire training center. State certification classesfor fire <br />department members, such as Firefighter 1 and Firefighter 2, are provided by Anoka-Hennepin Technical College, by virtue of its <br />delegated authority from the Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities. <br />The Roseville Fire Department contracts customized training services from Anoka-HennepinTechnical college for a variety of <br />firefighting, hazardousmaterials, and rescuetraining programs. A listing of course offerings is attached hereto. The Roseville Fire <br />Department has been contractingthese services with Anoka-HennepinTechnical Collegefor several years and we are pleasedwith <br />the services being provided. This request is for the annual renewal of the contract, pursuant to a requirement from the State of <br />Minnesota. <br />Policv Implications: The City of Rosevillewould renewits customizedtraining services contract with Anoka-HennepinTechnical <br />Collegefor fire and rescue related courses. <br />Financial: The cost of each course varies with the length and complexity of the program. This contract is for all teaching services <br />with a cumulative total not to exceed $5,000. Fundingwould come from the fire department training budget. <br />taff Recommendation: Staff recommendation is for council to approvethe renewal of this training contract with Anoka-Hennepin <br />Technical College. <br />Council Action Requested: Motion to approvethe renewal of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities CustomizedTraining <br />Income Contract with Anoka-Hennepin Technical College. <br />
