I believe that we sentyou these
change requests earlier.
C. Number: No more than one bus bench or shelter may be placed at a roadway
intersection in the direction of traffic flow.
[Issue: Intersections of fixed bus routes experience traffic in
the same and cross directions. For example: At Fairview
Ave. and County Road,B west of Rosedale Mall, transit riders
move both northlsouh and eas/wesi. Curbside amenities need to
serve both patterns of ridership for traffic safety and
public transportation service.]
D. Proximity to Other Benches or Shelters: No bus bench or shelter may be
placed within five hundred feet (500') of any other bench or
shelter on a roadway.
[Issue: For example, along County Road B. on the northside of
Rosedale Mall, bus stops at the access roads are less than 1,000
feet apart. Curbside amenities at these stops make access to
commercial business practical and improve public transportation
service to/from the mall.
