Award <br />BACKGROUND <br />In 2000 new Park Shelters were constructed at Acorn, Evergreen and Central <br />Parks in Roseville and subsequently have earned a Merit Award in the 2002 <br />I.D.E.A.S. Award for Innovative Design and Excellence in Architecture Using <br />Structural Steel. The design team is from Meyer, Scherer and Rockcastle, Ltd. <br />Mr. Tom Meyer of Meyer, Scherer and Rockcastle will be attending to explain and <br />present the Award. <br />POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />City departments attempt to work with other agencies and citizens to provide the highest <br />quality of services, programs and facilities. <br />FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS <br />None. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the acceptance of the 2002 I. D. E.A. S. Award for Innovative Design <br />and Excellence in Architecture Using Structural Steel. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion authorizing the acceptance of the 2002 I.D.E.A.S. Award for Innovative Design <br />and Excellence in Architecture Using Structural Steel. <br />
