EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 19�' day of August, 2002, at 6:30 p.m. <br />The following members were present: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE TO SECTION 1004.01A6 (MAXIMUM <br />TOTAL SURFACE AREA) OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE <br />FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 660 HEINEL DRIVE (PF 3413). <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Joel Berntsen has requested a variance to Section 1004.O1A6 <br />(Maximum Total Surface Area) in order to construct an owner's suite addition to the e�sting <br />home; and <br />as: <br />WHEREAS, the Berntsen property is located at 660 Heinel Drive and legally described at <br />Lot 1, Block 1, Kimberly Park, PID #022923410007 <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.O1A6 limits each residential lot in Roseville to a maximum <br />impervious coverage of 30%; and <br />WHEREAS, Joel Berntsen's parcel currently occupies more than 30% impervious area <br />(structures and pavement surfaces); and <br />WHEREAS, Joel Berntsen desires to construct certain home improvements including an <br />owner's suite addition to his home; and <br />WHEREAS, said existing and new improvements exceed the maximum total surface area <br />allowed by Section 1004.O1A6 by 57 1 square feet or 5%; and <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the <br />variance request by Joel Berntsen on August 7, 2002, and recommended (5-0) approval of the <br />request, based on findings outlined in Section 5 and conditions of Section 6 of the project report <br />dated August 7, 2002. <br />
