E. <br />C - t <br />I am wrlting this letter to request your approval to hold a 5K RunIW81k sponsored by Unisys. Upon <br />approval from the Cii Council, we would hold this event in order to raise money for the United Way. <br />We expect around 50 participants and the event will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2002 <br />starting at 11:30 a.m. and lasting until 12:30 p.m. However, if the weather proves to be bad on ihis day, <br />Thursday, September 5, 2002 was selected by the Unisys United Way committee to serve as an <br />alternative date. We would make any decision regarding a weather postponement and notify the <br />Roseville Police Department by 9;00 am on September 4. <br />The 5K RunlWalk would begin and end on Walnut Street, just south of Terminal Road. The racers will <br />tUNWalk down Walnut St. and tum and head NW on St. Anthony Boulevard. The runners would then <br />h1R1 around on St. Anthony Blvd. between BrightOtl and Stinson Blvd NE and then head back to the <br />finish line on Walnut Street. Please see attached map. <br />Unisys will provide security officers and an Emergency Response Team during the event. However, <br />the one thing that I'd like the Cii to consider is blocking off the roads from traffic between 11 :30 and <br />'t2_30.
