NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION <br />INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 623 <br />(ROSEVII,LE AREA SCHOOLS) <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a special election has been called and will be held in <br />conjunction with the state primary election in and for Independent School District No. 623 <br />(Roseville Area Schools), State of Minnesota, on Tuesday, September 10, 2002, for the purpose <br />of voting on the following question: <br />SCHOOL DISTRICT BALLOT QUESTION 1 <br />APPROVAL OF SCHOOL DISTRICT <br />REFERENDUMREVENUEAUTHORIZATION; <br />The board of Independent School District No. 623 (Roseville Area Schools), has proposed to <br />increase its general education revenue by $227.82 per resident marginal cost pupil unit. The <br />additional revenue will be used to finance school operations and the property tax portion thereof <br />will require an estimated referendum tax rate of appro�mately .048055% of the referendum <br />market value of the school district for taxes payable in 2003, the first year it is to be levied. The <br />proposed referendum revenue authorization would be applicable for five years unless otherwise <br />revoked or reduced as provided by law. <br />OYES <br />ONO <br />Shall the increase in the revenue proposed by the board <br />of Independent School District No. 623 be approved? <br />BY VOTING "YES" ON TFIIS BALLOT QUESTION, YOU <br />ARE VOTING FOR A PROPERTY TAk INCREASE. <br />
