EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 23rd day of September, 2002, at 6:30 <br />p. m. <br />The following members were present: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE TO SECTION 1004.01E <br />(SETSACK EXCEPTION) OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE <br />FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 671 SKILLMAN AVENUE (PF 3422). <br />WHEREAS, John & Christie Graham have requested a variance to Section 1004.O1A6 <br />(Setback Exception) in order to construct an addition on to the front of their home; and <br />WHEREAS, the Graham property is located at 67 1 Skillman Avenue and legally <br />described at as: <br />Lot 17, Block 11, .Iames Third Addition, Roseville (PID#142923110020) <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.O1E A6 of the Roseville City Code reads: Exception: If, after <br />May 21, 1959, e�sting houses on fifty percent (50%) or more of the frontage of any block have <br />a predominant front yard different from that herein specified, a11 buildings hereafter erected shall <br />conform to this predominant front yard depth, provided this regulation shall not be interpreted so <br />as to require a front yard of more than forty feet (40') in depth. (Ord. 275, 5-12-1959); and <br />WHEREAS, John & Christie Graham desire to construct a 12 foot addition to their home <br />, which addition would include a master bedroom, living room, and extended garage; and <br />WHEREAS, The Community Development Department has determined that the Graham <br />parcel has a 40 foot predominant setback, thus the proposed addition requires a 12 foot variance; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the <br />Graham variance request on September 4, 2002, and recommended (7-0) approval of the request, <br />based on findings outlined in Section 5 and conditions of Section 6 of the project report dated <br />September 4, 2002. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to grant John & <br />Christie Graham a 1'2 foot variance to Section 1004.O1E of the Roseville City based on the <br />findings in Section 5 of the project report dated September 23, 2002, and subject to the following <br />conditions: <br />
