Mayor Kysylyczyn reconvened the meeting at 9:53 p.m. Mayor Kysylyczyn commented on his hearing of the Arona development discussion via cell phone, and noted for the record his support of the Council motion. Mayor Kysylyczyn moved to recess the balance of the meeting agenda until Tuesday, August 13, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. in City Council Chambers. City Manager Beets asked that, as the consultants were in attendance at tonight's meeting, the Council consider hearing Item V. E, under Reports and Recommendations, Architectural and Funding Concepts for an Expanded Police Department Building and a Renovated Public Works Maintenance Facility. E. Architectural and Funding Concepts for an Expanded Police Department Building and a Renovated Public Works Maintenance Facility City Manager Beets reintroduced this project and Mark Wentzell and Pam Anderson, representing the firm of Arikeny-Kell. Mr. Beets stated that once the architectural firm had presented their refined site plans, Acting Chief Sletner, Public Works Director Schwartz, and Finance Director Miller would address their respective portions of the concept plan. Bench Handouts were provided outlining proposed cost estimates. Mr.- Wentzell presented revised site plans following further discussions with Fire and Police Department staffs, and City Council comments from a previous meeting. Mr. Wentzell illustrated how the public safety and public works facilities had been reduced in scope, and the new floor plans were economized for maximum usage and efficiency. 8:00 p.m. Architectural and Funding Concepts Expanded Police Department And Renovated Public Works Facility
