Mayor
Kysylyczyn stated that, in relocating the Fire Marshal and
Fire Inspector positions to the Fire Department, this
omission in process had been discovered.
Kysylyczyn moved, Schroeder seconded, amendment to
the motion to include the position of the Fire Marshal and
Fire Inspector in Section 106.06 Fire Department.
City Attorney Jamnik stated that this ordinance was for
codification of current organizational city structure, and
there was no change proposed under the current draft,
except as noted previously for Fire Code Inspections.
Ayes :
Nays:
Abstentions:
Roll Call
Schroeder, Kough,
Maschka.
Klausing.
and Kysylyczyn.
After comment from Mayor Kysylyczyn, Councilmember
Klausing attempted to explain his rationale for abstention.
Councilmember Klausing stated that, while he has no
problem with the ordinance at its face value, he's
concerned that this ordinance is going to be used to for
further Council micro-management of day-to-day City
operations.
Mayor Kysylyczyn asked for City Attorney Jamnik's
opinion regarding whether Councilmember Klausing's
concerns could be realized.
