REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />DATE: 9/30/02 <br />IT��` �.: �: �. <br />Department Approval: 1�Ianager Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />�� <br />Item Description: Approve Change Order 2001 Contract B <br />Background: 2001 Contract B was the reconstruction of W. Owasso Blvd. <br />The proposed Change Order is for the landscaping of the rain gardens installed as a part of the <br />reconstruction project. We have finalized the design with the property owners, and our contractor is <br />interested in installing the landscaping ne�t week. We did not include landscaping quantities for these <br />ponds in the original contract, because we were working with the residents on what types of vegetation <br />they wanted to have installed. The Change Order increases the contract by $13,949. This is a 0.62% <br />increase to the original contract price of $2,254,657.16. <br />Policy Implications: The proposed Change order is for over $5000 and requires Council approval. <br />Financial Implications: The cost for this Change Order, $13,949 will be funded using State Aid <br />Funds. <br />RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION: <br />Motion approving Change Order for 2001 Contract B. <br />Prepared by: Debra Bloom <br />
