Regular City Council 1�Iinutes — 09/23/02 <br />DRAFT Copy - 1�Iinutes - Page 8 <br />Coordinator, and Interpretive Naturalist. Mr. Brokke stated <br />that these vacancies were a result of earlier promotions, as well <br />as two (2) recent resignations from the department, and did not <br />constitute new positions; with funds allocated in the 2002 <br />budget and proposed 2003 budget. <br />Maschka moved, Kysylyczyn seconded, authorizing staff to <br />advertise and fill the positions of Recreation Program <br />Supervisor, Program/Marketing Coordinator, and Interpretive <br />Naturalist, in accordance with the Position Profiles provided. <br />Ayes: <br />Nays: <br />Roll Call <br />Maschka, Schroeder, Kough, Klausing and <br />Kysylyczyn. <br />None. <br />City Manager Beets was directed to provide clarification of <br />Council action on the 2003 Tax Levy and Budget status. <br />C. Residential Recycling Contract — Consider Council <br />Response to Citizen Advisory Report <br />Kysylyczyn moved that this item be tabled until the September <br />29, 2002 meeting; pending review and comment by the Public <br />Works and Transportation Commission at their meeting on <br />Thursday, September 26, 2002; and allowing for any further <br />public comment. <br />Councilmember Maschka suggested a longer timetable for <br />review and comment, stating that the Public Works and <br />Transportation Commission may need more time to absorb the <br />material, given that September 26, 2002 is their first meeting, <br />and will include organization structuring. <br />Communications Specialist Tim Pratt advised that the <br />Recycling Contract expires the end of 2002. <br />Councilmember Kough expressed concern that while multi- <br />family complexes are charged, they're not receiving services. <br />Councilmember Kough further supported the single stream <br />collection option. <br />Residential <br />Recycling Contract <br />
