Regular City Council Minutes — 09/23/02 DRAFT Copy - Minutes - Page 10 Mayor Kysylyczyn asked specifically if it was the consensus of the RSWARCAC that multi-family housing be included in servicing by the City's Residential Recycling Program. Mr. Wozniak, on behalf of the RSWARCAC, answered in the affirmative. Mayor Kysylyczyn asked if there had been consensus of the RSWARCAC regarding a single stream or two-sort system. Mr. Wozniak stated that there was no consensus on this issue, and stated that was why there were several options recommended for Council consideration. Judy Wood, 3060 West Owasso Blvd. Ms. Wood, another RSWARCAC member, spoke to the conveniences of a single sort system; the excellent participation of residents in the program, with higher goals anticipated; and expressed her personal preference for a single sort system, even at a higher cost to the City. Todd Anderson, 2796 Marion Street Mr. Anderson, Vice-Chair of the newly-formed Public Works and Transportation Commission, having also served on the RSWARCAC, stated that he looked forward to continuing discussions, but asked that more time be allowed to reach a consensus for recommendation to the City Council. Mayor Kysylyczyn suggested amending his motion to solicit bids for both single and two-sort options, with both including multi-family units; then forward those two options to the Public Works and Transportation commission, anticipating their recommendation being forwarded to the City Council within five (5) weeks. Mayor Kysylyczyn recognized two (2) vendors in the audience for public comment. Gary Boyum, Waste Management (current vendor) Mr. Boyum expressed his appreciation for the City's business to-date and reminded Councilmembers of previous discussions with the Council regarding advantages and disadvantages of
