Regular City Council Minutes — 09/23/02 <br />DRAFT Copy - Minutes - Page 12 <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Kough seconded, approval of purchase of Purchase for <br />equipment listed by staff on document entitled, "2002 Council <br />Equipment Price Chart," including the 17" flat panel monitor Chambers <br />(Viewsonic VE 170); distribution amplifiers (Extron P/2DA/6 <br />Plus); switcher (Echolab MVS3-1W), and applicable sales tax; <br />but excluding authorization to purchase a 50" plasma display <br />and rolling cart. <br />Communications Director Pratt, on an unrelated note, pointed <br />out the display and letters from Roseville area children <br />expressing their appreciation for Police and Fire Department <br />presentations on September 11, 2002 and recognizing the <br />services provided by those departments. <br />Regarding the proposed video equipment purchase request, Mr. <br />Pratt and Councilmembers discussed current projection <br />difficulties in the Council Chambers, future technological <br />needs; and lack of documentation from staff. <br />Councilmember Klausing recommended, and Councilmember <br />Schroeder concurred, delaying action pending further <br />information being provided by staff. <br />Mr. Pratt stated that the committee had previously provided a <br />presentation at a Council Work Session addressing goals and <br />objectives; solicited input; and laid out a vision for <br />implementation. <br />After further discussion ensued, Mayor Kysylyczyn called the <br />motion. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka, Schroeder, Kough, Klausing and <br />Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: None. <br />E. Establishing an October 21, 2002 Public Hearing for Call for Public <br />Northwestern College Hearing — <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Kough seconded, establishing a Public Northwestern <br />Hearing for October 21, 2002 for the purpose of issuing up to College Bond <br />$10,000,000 in tax exempt revenue bonds for Northwestern Issue — October <br />
