Conflict of Interest 5 4 2.7 3 <br />TOTAL 30 21.3 I 14.3 14 <br />Besides the rating system, we also took into consideration whether each firm supplied <br />legal update training and participated in citizen-based activities (such as National Night <br />Out, Citizen Academies, mediation services and patrol "ride-along") as part of their cost <br />proposal to the City. We questioned them concerning their 24/7 accessibility to officers, <br />sergeants and investigators and how each firm would be able to handle multiple, same- <br />day court cases. The only firm that could reassure us they have done and will continue to <br />do the above cited services, as part of their standard retainer, was the law firm of 7ensen, <br />Bell, Converse and Erickson. <br />Based on the preceding evaluation by the interview panel, I recommend 7ensen, Bell, <br />Converse and Erickson as the City of Roseville's Prosecuting Attorney. <br />Fiscal Impact <br />Sufficient funds are budgeted in our current Council-approved 2002 budget and in the <br />preliminary Council-approved 2003 budget to pay for city prosecutor services. <br />Council Action Requested <br />Motion to concur with the City Manager's appointment of Jensen, Bell, Converse and <br />Erickson as Prosecuting Attorney, subject to negotiation of a final legal services <br />agreement. <br />
