B. <br />Agenda Section <br />Consent Agenda <br />Staff is in the process of renewing all liquor licenses for the year 2003. The licenses to be renewed <br />include twenty-five (25) On Sa1e (maximum 30 allowed by state statute), eight (8) Off Sa1e <br />(maximum of 10 allowed by City ordinance), four (4) Club, ten (10) Wine, fifteen (15) On Sale 3.2 <br />Non-Into�cating Malt Liquor, and eight (8) Off Sale 3.2 Non-Into�cating Malt Liquor (City <br />ordinance or state statute do not limit the number of the last four types of licenses). A public hearing <br />needs to be established for the November 18�', 2002 council meeting for the consideration of the <br />renewal of these licenses. <br />Financial Implications <br />The revenue that is generated from the license fees collected is used to offset the cost of police <br />compliance checks, background investigations, enforcement of liquor laws, and license <br />administration. <br />Council Action <br />Motion establishing a public hearing on Monday, November 18, 2002 for the renewal of the <br />following liquor licenses for calendar year 2003. <br />
